Studio NewsCongratulations are in order for Eva Sabiniano! After completing her debut album at Pacific Studios, things have been happening fast for the little girl with a big voice. Her song "Jesus is Always with You" is the #1 most requested songs for The Spirit Radio network after receiving constant airplay on 12 christian stations around the country. In addition, she has been nominated for "Best Children's Performance of the Year" at the 23rd Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards. Her album "Born to Praise" was also nominated for "Recorded Music Packaging of the Year," going up against the icon, Patti LaBelle. Good luck from everyone at Pacific! Rock legend Alan White (John Lennon, Joe Cocker and Yes), stopped in Studio A to record a song for another music legend, Gretchen Christopher of The Fleetwoods. He immediately got to work on the studio's vintage "Ringo Kit" and even jumped on the keyboard to help with the arrangement. Truly a great day in Tacoma! Local band, This Shirt is Pants returned to Pacific Studios to record more songs for an upcoming EP. The boys are gearing up for more live gigs to support the new disc, look for the name, it's hard to miss. Emily Butler, a composer out of Anchorage, Alaska is busy putting the final touches on her first album that was tracked a few months ago in Studio A. Final vocals and editing will be done in Alaska to be returned to Pacific Studios for final mixing toward the end of July. Rich Wetzel's Groovin' Higher Jazz Orchestra has invaded Pacific Studios to work on tracks for an upcoming release. The tracks are shaping up great and early response has been fantastic! They have already had talks with Conn/Selmer/Holton who want to help market the disc. Great players and great songs! Bizarre of the rap group D12 stopped by for a couple days to lay some vocals for an upcoming Disney movie he's involved with. Everyone had a great time and we hope to see him when he's in the area!
